Copenhagen Pride reveals the first glimpse into this year’s spectacular program.
With this year’s theme #withPride, Copenhagen Pride emphasises the continued need for LGBTI+ people to use Pride as an opportunity to strengthen community at a time when anti-LGBTI+ rhetoric and hate crimes are on the rise around the world. New research shows that almost half of all LGBTI+ people in Denmark have experienced discrimination in the past year.
The community has participated in this year’s #withPride campaign, which will be shown on Clear Channel screens all over Denmark, on Copenhagen Pride’s social media and around Pride Square. Here, people from the community share what they do with Pride / #withPride.
🎤 Musical Performances: Experience the electrifying performances of our Drag Night, featuring local and international drag artists. 🎉 Debates: From the Pride Square's lively atmosphere to our Human Rights Program, events that are designed to educate, engage, and inspire. 🌈 Iconic Pride Parade: On August 17, the streets of Copenhagen will burst into a sea of rainbow colors. The Pride Parade is a jubilant march of solidarity, where every participant walks with pride, representing love and acceptance. Join us in this powerful statement of unity and strength. This year, 30,000 people are expected to march from Frederiksberg City Hall to Pride Square.
In these strange times where we most assuredly need to stand together this is not just an event; it's an odyssey through our community's powerful core, a celebration and a shout to unity and the importance of conversation. This year’s Copenhagen Pride is a mosaic of moments, each a testament to our unwavering spirit and dedication to our fight for love and inclusivity. It's an invitation to embrace the extraordinary and stand together, always With Pride!
